Safety starts with behaviour. How can we encourage employees to identify hazards from the ground up and improve working conditions? Based on six years of daily research into employee behaviour at a cast iron foundry in Macedonia.
We will demonstrate the mechanism whereby Fogg’s behavioural model facilitates even the slightest response to a threat, intrinsic motivation prompts action without the expectation of a reward, and collective habit transforms safe behaviours into the norm for the whole group. Participants will also see how modern technology makes it possible to measure changes in collective behaviour patterns every 24 hours and to identify any weakening of the safety culture before it leads to a real threat.
