Tired as a Pole at work: causes effects and consequences - results of the Safe at Work Coalition survey

The Safe at Work Coalition examined how the issue of occupational fatigue looks in an industrial environment. As work in this industry usually involves a lot of physical exertion, it would seem that workers in this sector are most affected by physical fatigue. However, the survey shows that employees are more likely to experience mental fatigue (48%) than physical fatigue (45%). What other conclusions about the psycho-physical state of industrial workers emerge from the report? Come and listen.

Workshops on the selection of Personal Protective Equipment according to hazards and workplaces

A practical session where participants will learn how to select the right PPE for the identified risks. Together we will analyse specific cases and consider what factors should be taken into account when selecting PPE. Participants will work with prepared job examples and sets of clothing and other PPE - the task will be to correctly match protection to identified hazards. Active participation is encouraged - this is an opportunity to test your knowledge and translate theory into practice. The workshop will help to structure knowledge and increase the effectiveness of health and safety measures in the workplace.

CASE STUDY: Specialist clothing in practice - effective protection, durability and maintenance

Join us for a unique presentation in which we will examine, step by step, the real-life application of specialised clothing in demanding working environments. It's not just theory - it's concrete experience that shows how the right choice of garments and proper maintenance affect their effectiveness and durability. What will we discuss? - How to select clothing for specific hazards and working conditions - examples from practice. - How specialised clothing differs from standard protective solutions. - How regular and correct maintenance maintains the protective properties - even after repeated use and washing. - The most common user mistakes and how to avoid them in order to keep the garments fully functional. For whom. For health and safety professionals, safety managers, technical staff and anyone interested in the practical aspects of the new generation of protective clothing. This presentation is not just about knowledge - it's about tools for real safety improvements in your organisation.

Cyber threats in the workplace - a new dimension of OSH

Increasingly, hacking attacks are not just financial in nature - they aim to destabilise, create chaos and create trust in underlying systems. In the work environment, this means a real threat to employees' sense of security and the effectiveness of health and safety procedures. During the talk, we will show why cyber threats should be included in occupational risk assessments and how they affect areas hitherto considered 'physical' - such as evacuation or access control. We will talk about concrete examples, lessons learned from real-life incidents and the role of health and safety professionals in building an organisation's resilience against cyber attacks.

Psychological health and safety - about new challenges in the workplace

Dynamic changes in the working environment require a fresh look at the needs of employees and leaders. It is necessary to think about health, safety and security more broadly - also in the context of mental health and everyday wellbeing. During the presentation, we will look at the experiences, problems and needs of the working environment based on the results of a survey carried out as part of the national socio-educational campaign “Closer to You”. We will present the current mental condition of people in the working environment, paying particular attention to the growing phenomenon of professional burnout. We will talk about how to build psychological safety in openness to mental health issues, care for which is now becoming the foundation of effective companies and a key element of modern work culture.

The basics of psychological first aid as an important element in creating a safe workplace

Psychological problems can affect both us and those around us, including our colleagues. Consumed by our daily responsibilities, we may overlook important and significant moments that require a response and assistance.

The ability to recognise whether what is happening to us or another person is a sign of a crisis can have a significant impact on our future lives.

During the workshop, participants will learn what to look for and how to respond, as well as what actions can lead to a deepening of the crisis. Participants will gain practical knowledge that will completely change their perspective on crisis.

Confronting this knowledge will no longer be a taboo subject, which will translate into awareness of how to create a safe workplace.
